How Love Works for Men
Do you continually wonder if your man loves you?
Do you wish he would shower you with gifts, flowers, love letters and more?
You may have expectations on how a man should show his love but if you haven’t already noticed, men think and act totally different than women.
I’d like to bring to your attention how love works for men and how their brains are wired differently when it comes to showing their love.
Men simply show love differently.
A woman can tell her man that she thinks he doesn’t love her because he never says “I love you”. His response: “I told you last week”.
To him, that was enough.. He loves her whether he affirms it or not.
Women expect men to show their love in certain ways, but they often have their own ways of showing love.
Here are some examples:
Holding your hand
Whether you two are out in public or sitting next to each other.. holding your hand is a nice way for the man in your life to show that he not only loves you, but also wants to protect you.
The physical contact and the attachment are protective gestures.
Picking wild flowers
He’s not being cheap.
Thinking of you, he took the time to stop and pick the flowers to surprise you.
Asks what you think
He truly wants to know your thoughts on aspects of his life.. whether it’s what he’s wearing or where to go on a fishing trip with his friends.
Your thoughts are important to him.
Talk of the future includes you
If you are included in his talk of future plans, it’s a good sign that he loves you.
From vacations next year to activities in two weeks, he is letting you know that you two are a couple.
Staring
You may catch him staring at you and think he’s off in space or critiquing you.. but he’s simply enjoying your presence.
Men like to take long, steady looks at the women they love.
Helps with household chores
Men typically leave the house cleaning to women, so if your man is helping you out, he is showing his love for you in that way.
This is why he tells you exactly what he did: “Honey, I swept and mopped the floors!”
He’s telling you because first, he wants you to know he did it, and second, he wants your admiration.
He is saying “I love you and want to help you out.”
Bragging rights
Men love by telling their buddies how wonderful their girlfriends or wives are.
They love being able to brag about their sweethearts.
Spooning
If a man is spooning you in bed, he is showing you his love for you.
He does not have to say a word.
He can just wrap his arms around you and hold you tight, and in doing so, he feels like he is showing his love.
Fixing things
When things go wrong in the home or the car needs an oil chance, men generally take care of it.
This is one way they show their love.
They like to take care of you.
They like to feel productive and solve problems, so if they are doing such things, they surely love you.
Random texts
He may text you in the middle of the day for no reason.
Men aren’t as inclined to text as women, so if you are receiving random texts, this is one way he is showing you his love.
These are just some of the ways that men show their love toward women.
Each man is different, so each will have a unique style.
If you feel like your man does not adequately show his love toward you, discuss this with him.
Perhaps you can tell him what he could do in order for you to feel more loved.
Sometimes guys simply need to know what they can do, and they will jump at the opportunity.
Want flowers? Tell him.
Need a hug? Tell him.
Need quality time? Tell him.
Communication is huge.
Have a heart-to-heart talk about how each of you tend to show and receive love.
